The severe flooding, captured by ESA’s Copernicus Sentinel-1 mission, caused widespread damage in eastern Spain, highlighting the urgent need for rapid disaster response. By processing Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery, WASDI helped generate critical flood maps, supporting emergency services and decision-makers in assessing the impact and planning relief efforts. This contribution demonstrates the power of Earth Observation technology in disaster management.
